Short answer
What is DDP shipping?
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is an Incoterms 2020 rule where the seller takes on all costs and risks up to delivery, including import duties and taxes. With Lozy’s DDP service, we manage pickup, freight, customs clearance, duty payment and final delivery for one agreed price.
What’s included
One price covers the whole journey, duties included.
Pickup and freight
Collection at origin and the international leg by air or sea.
Import clearance
Filing, assessment and release at the Indian port or airport.
Duties and taxes paid
Import duty and IGST settled before delivery and itemised in your quote.
An importer when you need one
If the receiver can’t be the importer, our Importer of Record service fills the gap.
Final delivery
To the door: an office, a store, a site or a Lozy warehouse.
Proof of delivery
Signed delivery records and customs documents shared when the job closes.
DDP into Delhi NCR, door by door
Most DDP runs clear at the NCR ICDs or IGI Airport and deliver across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad with nothing to pay at the door.
Duties and taxes are settled before delivery, so your customer sees a driver, not a customs bill.

Customs and warehousing with one team

Clear it, then store it
Cleared goods can go straight into one of 75 warehouse locations across our network.
One point of contact
One team follows your shipment from filing to delivery, so nothing falls between vendors.
Checked before it ships
HS codes, licences and paperwork are reviewed at origin, where problems are cheapest to fix.
An itemised quote
Duties, taxes and our charges listed before you commit. Port or examination charges are flagged as they come up.
Frequently asked questions
Can’t see your question? Ask it in the quote form and we’ll answer it with your quote.
What’s the difference between DDP and DAP?
Under DAP (Delivered at Place), the buyer pays import duties and handles clearance. Under DDP, the seller covers duties and clearance, so the buyer simply receives the goods.
Who is the importer in a DDP shipment to India?
The importer on the Bill of Entry must hold an IEC. If neither the seller nor the receiver can act as importer, Lozy’s Importer of Record service can.
Is DDP more expensive?
The total is usually similar, because the duties and taxes are payable either way. DDP puts them into one upfront price so neither side is surprised.
Is DDP a good fit for eCommerce?
Yes. Customers don’t want to pay duty at the door. DDP makes an international order feel like a local one.
