Short answer

What is an Exporter of Record?

An Exporter of Record (EOR) is the party named on the Shipping Bill who is responsible for the export’s compliance. Lozy can act as EOR when you need to ship goods out of India, such as returns, project equipment or stock, without your own IEC or export registrations.

What’s included

We take on the exporter’s role and get your goods cleared to leave.

  • Exporter on the Shipping Bill

We’re the named exporter, with the IEC and registrations the shipment needs.

  • Export paperwork

Invoice, packing list and Shipping Bill prepared and filed on ICEGATE.

  • Export control screening

Goods checked against controlled lists such as SCOMET before filing.

  • The right GST route

Exports are zero-rated. We confirm whether the shipment moves under an LUT or with IGST paid and refunded.

  • Re-export of imported goods

Sending back equipment that came in earlier? We handle the paperwork, including duty drawback where it applies.

  • Pickup and dispatch

Collection from your site or a Lozy warehouse, and handover for air or sea freight.

Exporting from Delhi NCR

Shipping bills are filed at the NCR ICD closest to your factory or office — Tughlakabad, Patparganj, Dadri or Garhi Harsaru — and containers run by rail to JNPT, Mundra or Pipavav for the vessel.

Returns, spares and project cargo go the same way: documents first, a clean Shipping Bill, and out on the next departure.

How it works

Five steps from pickup to the Let Export Order.

Customs and warehousing with one team

Most importers juggle a customs broker, a transporter and a warehouse. With Lozy, the paperwork and the space sit with the same people.

Cleared goods can go straight into one of 75 warehouse locations across our network.

  • One point of contact

One team follows your shipment from filing to delivery, so nothing falls between vendors.

  • Checked before it ships

HS codes, licences and paperwork are reviewed at origin, where problems are cheapest to fix.

  • An itemised quote

Duties, taxes and our charges listed before you commit. Port or examination charges are flagged as they come up.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t see your question? Ask it in the quote form and we’ll answer it with your quote.

When would I need an Exporter of Record?

When the owner of the goods can’t be the exporter. For example, a foreign company returning equipment from India, or a business without an IEC sending stock abroad.

What is a Let Export Order?

It’s the customs order that allows goods to be loaded for export once the Shipping Bill has been processed.

Can I recover duty when I re-export imported goods?

Often, yes. Goods re-exported within the allowed period can qualify for duty drawback. We check eligibility using your original import documents.

Do exports attract GST?

Exports are zero-rated under GST. They move either under a Letter of Undertaking (LUT) without paying IGST, or with IGST paid and refunded later.
